đź’ˇINSIGHT FOR YOU

AI posing a challenge for HR professionals. What’s your #1 task?

Have you ever considered how AI can revolutionize HR beyond just simplifying recruitment and onboarding processes? Since AI based solutions are evolving, even positions that have long been considered safe from disruption are not that stable anymore.

đź“ŚThe average half-life of skills is now less than 5 years, and in some tech fields, it’s as low as 2,5 years.

This compelling statistic was highlighted in the HBR article of the year 2023. Check it out and find out why preparing reskilling plans is the number 1 task for HR professionals in the age of AI.

đź””MONIKA SHARES

Our Director of Executive Education programs, Monika Lasiene, collaborates closely with companies. She delves into topics, challenges, and solutions vital for companies and teams to stay on top. That’s why Monika keeps an eye on the latest trends and updates in the field.

“Across all countries and industries we work in, the interest in AI solutions is just as high as uncertainty on how and if it can help top management daily. That’s why we’re not only suggesting data and AI related training for managers, but also exploring different ways in how AI could be integrated into the learning process itself. So, if you’re wondering whether AI can be integrated into the learning process, the answer is yes!

Just imagine: you sit in the class and hear terminology that you’re not sure about. Via your smartphone you can quickly ask the bot what does this or that means and get trusted information from our lecturers, examples, and suggestions for follow-up questions. It’s like having a personal tutor in addition to the lecturer in front of the class.

As you are reading these lines, some of our in-company training participants are using AI-based chatbot that is doing exactly that”, says Monika.

đź”—Monika also shares an article listing the best AI productivity tools that can be useful in the learning process as well – from transcription and meeting assistants to summarizing data – check it out!

📌“My personal favorite from the list would be Fireflies. It transcribes your online meetings or training and provides insightful data. The built-in AI chatbot can make useful summaries. For example, as an HR professional, you can easily pull information on what the candidate said about expectations for the role. Bonus points for doing a decent job in languages other than English – even Lithuanian.

📌Another of my long-time favourites is the Hemingway Editor. It doesn’t feel like a technological miracle, but it does a brilliant job showing the readability of a text and suggesting corrections, while its AI features support the editing even further. Trying to draft an announcement for your team and some sentences are three lines long? Run it through Hemingway.”

đź’TO REFLECT ON

We understand that the information you just read may fade over time. That’s why, we invite you to engage in a short yet effective practice to reflect on your own organization.

This time, we encourage you to contemplate on:

âť“ What is the biggest challenge for you as an HR person within the company you are currently working at?

Don’t worry if you don’t have answers right away – it can serve as a good starting point to think about trainings or coaching sessions. In any case, you can always reach out to Monika Lasiene for a deeper conversation.
